Relief Printmaking

In the use of basic media and techniques for printmaking with Chris Granillo.

Printmaking at its most basic level involves the creation of (wood block, linoleum surfaces), inking carved block surfaces, and then transferring that ink block onto paper. Essential to printmaking is the production of multiples and repetition. This class will introduce several printmaking media and techniques, including transferring art to block, and pulling relief prints with a hand rubbing method. The focus is making a fine art print with solid ink marks through out the image.
